The wrecks and other structures offshore of Cape May, NJ and Wildwood, NJ offer up many species of fish yea- round. Our Offshore Trip is an extended offshore adventure affording the seasoned crew of the Miss Chris maximum time to dial in on the wrecks to our South and East to Both North Jersey and Delaware. Sea Bass, Tautog, Cod, Ling and others can be found on these trips.
Rental rods are available aboard, as are rigs and lead. For those anglers wishing to bring their own tackle, 6-8ft medium heavy rods capable of slinging 12oz to 16oz sinkers are preferable, as are conventional reels spooled with 30-50lb braided line.
Two to three hook rigs with 6/0 hooks are ideal. Octopus skirts or Mylar skirts can be added if you wish. Jigs can also be effective, with 6-8oz diamond jigs being standard equipment.
Squid is provided, but clams and cut bait can also work very well if anglers would prefer to bring them.

These trips depart Cape May at midnight, and return at 6pm. We are typically fishing just before the sun crests the horizon, with the goal of giving our anglers their best chance of filling their 15 fish per person limit of big beautiful bass!
Trips are limited to 30 anglers on this trip. This gives everyone ample rail space to spread out and fill their coolers!
Quid is provided, but clams and cut bait can also work very well if anglers would prefer to bring them.
Rod rental and rigs are not included in the price but can be purchased separately.
Food is not included but there is a snack bar available. You may bring your own food and drink, even beer (cans preferred and no more than 6 pack per person)

A fishing license is included for every passenger. We are regulated by the National Marine Fisheries, subject to all federal and State of New Jersey Recreational Saltwater Marine Fisheries Regulations. During the striped bass season, we participate in the NJ Bonus Tag Program for striped bass.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to departure (60 minutes prior in July and August, and holidays).
Open boat trips occur daily but advance purchase is recommended to avoid disappointment. In most cases, purchasing in person on the day of the trip is fine.
Everything you need to fish is on board the boat. Rods and reels are $5 to rent on a 4-hour trip. Rods are manufactured by Gull and reels are by Penn and Shimano.
You will park and meet at the Miss Chris Marina. You can park in our parking lot as long as a parking attendant tells you where to park. You may also park on the street if you can find a legal spot.
