Captain Mike reports: Sea Bass and Fluke are biting during the day trips. More throwbacks than keepers but keepers are there if you pick through them.
Captain John is also running night open boat on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and reports mix of Sea Bass, small blues and Triggerfisb.
Also- every year we see the Drumfish leave the bay and our day boat gets a chance to catch one, which is exciting when you are expecting a Sea Bass! This year, while targeting Sea Bass, Captain Mike stopped on a pile of Drum. They hooked up 5 and landed 5! 5 Drum on a day trip is amazing. Kudos to the crew and passengers for keeping their calm with these massive fish!
